Nikon is pleased to announce the introduction of the COOLPIX P50, a new model which prioritises photographic performance by the mixing chamber with an orthodox style advanced feature set and ease of operation. Built on a custom application of Nikon's innovative EXPEED image processing concept digital and incorporating the precision optics of a Nikkor lens, the Coolpix P50 is built to realize optimum performance and maximum image quality.
The P50 has a boxy feel outdated. The thick handle of his right hand, with rubber panel is useful, but we're not sure about the overall thickness design. We are aware that Not all cameras have to be a "style" model, competing to be the thinnest five minutes. But to make such a camera intentionally quiet as this seems strange.

Turning to the right side of the camera – if still considered the back – a cover of AV output and USB port is discovered, hidden behind a loop for attaching the wrist strap provided. On the opposite side of the P50 is set built in a metal speaker that provides sound, but enough.
