Under Water

With the escalation of the population and the high standard of living, water shortages are affecting the world. Despite our planet is blessed with three water session, the irony is, only a small amount can be used for drinking water. While some parts of the world have an adequate supply of ground water, there are places marked by severe water crisis. One of the main reasons is often identified as the culprit behind the shortage of water is the sudden change in climatic conditions.

Our ancestors knew. The oldest civilization brings home the point – water is an absolute necessity. With the population increase at a rapid speed, artificial agriculture, it was inevitable, but the sources of water supply remains limited. The consequences were therefore quite expected – on the drafting of the natural groundwater led to water shortages. Miles and miles of land that were once covered with trees are now barren – Due to deforestation. It is our turn to pay the price – face severe water shortages. Research conducted nonprofit, as humanitarian organizations World Water Forum, emphasized the accessibility of potable water to be the chief cause of hunger, poverty and disease worldwide.

At the request of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) in 2001, it conducted an interesting research by Global Water. Based on research, the report named "Study of availability of groundwater for water scarcity in developing countries" emerged as an eye opener – the detection of the presence of groundwater in water scarce regions of the world. Despite the presence of groundwater, the resource remains underutilized

With years of experience water world has realized that the leaflets temporary emergency during a crisis is not an effective solution for long-term regional health and hunger related issues. The ultimate solution to the drought-stricken areas is to find a permanent source of clean fresh water. In the past 25 years, Global Water has developed a model we call the Rural Outreach Water Supply Program (or rows of program).
