How can I transfer a video from a video tape recorder from Sony for my laptop?
Accept the video tape recorder has opening USB, I bought the USB cable but for some reason my laptop could not download the drivers because it is not compatible with Windows Vista, ok i tried the same thing with my old windows 2000 laptop, I download the drivers from the Sony website, the computer recognizes the hardware, but after that there know what to do! I also tried the S-video cable, but nothing happens when you connect the recorder to the laptop. Please help!
You have not told us that the Sony camcorder … Devices (Beta, VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi8) video camera requires an "analog digital bridge" or a "card of capture. "Pinnacle (Dazzle) and Canopus are common. Digital (Digital 8, miniDV) camcorders require FireWire cable to connect the DV port on camcorder the firewire port on the computer. If your computer has a FireWire port, hopefully there is an available expansion slot so you can add one. S-video connector on your laptop is only – of the laptop to a monitor (or TV or projector) – not in .. thus not surprising that it did not work. Firewire, DV, IEEE1394 i.LINK and are all the same thing. USB will not work; USB-FireWire adapter / converter will not work. If you need a 4-Pin to 6-pin or 4-pin to 4-pin FireWire cable is unknown because we do not know what the computer's FireWire port. The tape digital video camcorder based on consumer DV Puerto ALWAYS 4-pin, so that the other party that connects the computer is the determining factor.
