Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong with my computer?
Every day I get updates computer. For this seemed to have eliminated most of the links at my desk and replaced with the white pieces of documents with the folded corner. When I try to click them, do not work. It seems as if the links to open the programs are in "hiding", which means they are there, but I do not know exactly where they are. However, I discovered that if I right-click properties and highlight the "target" link, you can open most programs. For some programs (such as The Sims) is not working for some reason (I Deluxe, Seasons, and University collection of Christmas). So I tried to uninstall all the games but the team says is uninstalled, but left behind the game pieces that are still installed. What this became a two-part question, but one can at unless you help me with the first problem?
Try right-clicking on the icon and select Create Shortcut to see if the icon reappears. Doing so can return eliminate the other. If you can not create the shortcut in this way go to the program in the Start menu and right click the program and select Create Shortcut. Sometimes simply restarting the computer fixes things.
