The power law
Power is the ability to influence the allocation of people, money and resources. It exists in all human relationships and situations. It is essential for the effective functioning of human life and society. It is neither good nor bad.
Power can be used in business in two ways: (1) to advance the interests of the interests of the organization or (2) to promote the interests of the person. When power is used skillfully to advance the interests of the organization, is a positive force. It can improve the situation of all persons who are affected by it.
If power is used or abused, for promoting individual interests to the detriment of the organization, then the power becomes negative and destructive force that can damage the organization and the people in it.
All power struggles aim at achieving a greater share of this fixed amount of power. The only way that the quantity total energy can be increased is to increase the size of the company, the number of activities and the number of people in the organization.
The leader tends to be the person who is most capable of taking the reins of power and cling to them. But ultimately, real and lasting power in an organization comes the consent of followers. Leaders become leaders and gain the power because people want to have that power.
The only way to keep power once they have acquired is to prove himself to be more effective in delivering results through the use of energy.
Power is invariably the "can do". What is responsible for making the power it has? By demonstrating its ability to get results with the power has, itself will attract opportunities to expand their power. As their power expands, you will get more and more opportunities for ever greater and more important results. His power and influence continue to grow while and show that you can implement more effectively than any other.
Four types of energy that can develop

A position of power. It is the power that goes with the job title. Position supply includes the ability to hire and fire, to reward and punish. Position of power can be separated from the ability or personality. There are many people with unpleasant and incompetent a position of power that did it for reasons other than their ability to work quickly and well, or ability to get along with others.
The power allocated. This is the power you have when the people around you willingly gives them authority and influence because of who you are. To attract this power for its own same as being very good at what he does and at the same time, loved and respected by people around you.
