Any compact digital camera can be used with filters?

I am looking for a compact digital camera that filters can be installed so you can use filters in my photography. Are there on the market? I'm looking at high-specification camera, not the budget. Any information would be appreciated.

That really is not too practical in a compact digital due to the fact that most of their lenses retract into the body when turned off. Most any camera shop should be able to come with an adapter ring to fit out the front edge of the lens, to take what ever the filters want, but most likely have to take it off when the camera turns off. Have also been built in white balance, and in some cases, some of the taxpayers, so I'm not sure what kind of filters you feel you need. That's one reason why Toshiba upgrading from my comp to my Pentax SLR and I have a filter UV on all my lenses as they are a heck of a lot cheaper than a new lens. Also, I use my polarizing filter on the lens a bit of my 18×55.
