A DVD player to record digital channels?
I just found that video can only be recorded analog signals, but I must find a way to record digital subchannels (antenna). A DVD recorder do the job?
The cheapest way is to connect a converter box between the antenna and your VCR. A converter box "converts" digital television broadcasts to the old analog type for your video can understand. You can use any of the promotional rate converters, but there are some models that were designed with VCR in mind. See link. You can buy recorders DVD to include digital (ATSC) tuners. If you are also connecting to a cable television system, make sure that also includes a "QAM" tuner digital TV. VCRs or DVD recorders can record in "HD quality".
